YARA PH (means small butterfly in Arabic Origin)—is a four-member ppop girl group under Sony Music Philippines an established record label known for producing some of the biggest names in P-Pop, and the first-ever Grand Girl Group PPop Stars of PoPinoy ( A Philippine reality survival show). The group is composed of Rocher, Gelou, Christa, and Kim.Debut Date: March 10, 2023
YARA debuted on March 10, 2023 with the song “ADDA” which means ‘Apat Dapat, Dapat Apat.’ then released an RnB rendition of the hit song 'Bakit Papa' which trended on TikTok and X shortly after due to its fierce yet catchy tune. Their single, 'Eksena' - embodies Filipina women empowerment and confidence, making a statement that you should be owning your life and make the world your stage. On June 14, 2024 they released their latest single "Katawan Flow"

Y A R A - the group name were from the initials of the original members' name, Yuki (former member), Angelou(Gelou), Rocher, and Angelah (former member).
The members were former trainees of ShowBT—a Korean entertainment company based here in the Philippines that formed the P-Pop group or today known as P-Pop Kings, SB19. YARA joined in 2017 (PKS) for the first time as part of their evaluation as a trainee. It was their first debut stage in Pinoy K-Pop Star as a 4-member group on which they performed BlackPink’s “Whistle” in the vocal category, watch here.They became part of the trainee group called NARRA —a musical gala team that was initially trained as performers only on the company's events and activities/backup dancers in a musical show.
Also in the year 2017, Kim and Christa later joined the company however as an idol trainee (last batch)—the company decided to create an idol group—a boy group and a girl group at the same time however due to some difficulties, they opted to focus with the boy group first. In 2018 they left the company in the mutual decision. With that, Kim and Christa focused on their studies while Rocher, Gelou, and Yuki focused on their careers. Moreover, they’re on good terms with ShowBT as they were able to perform in SB19’s previous events such as GITZ: Manila Concert , School Attack at PUP Manila and Dunkin’ Presents: Give In to SB19 (postponed due to pandemic)Wayback 2019, original group members Yuki, Gelou, and Rocher along with new members Christa and Kim had reunited and decided to take another shot in PKS 2019. They decided to retain the group’s name YARA even after the introduction of Christa and Kim. YARA won as the second (2nd) runner-up for the Performance Category after they incredibly performed the remarkable double standards-breaker hit debut song “Dalla Dalla” of ITZY of JYP Entertainment. They swept and dominated the girl groups in the finals of the competition with their first own composition entitled ‘PARA’ that garnered an average of 96.50 followed by 87.25 (2nd placer) and 80.00 (3rd placer). Just like the Tiara that simply means crown, it symbolizes their victory, triumph and achievements throughout their excruciating journey just to succeed in their dreams as a PPOP idol. It also represents their power when it comes in performing, which makes them extraordinary and outstanding in the middle of stage. Hence, the Tiara will always be relevant and remarkable despite of being in a vast of crowd that can delineate YARA as a group.Meaning Behind the Famdom Name:CoCoon /'kow-kōon/The name YARA is of Arabic origin that means 'butterfly'.Carefree and graceful, we see ourselves as a butterfly.
